Roof Valley Repair
After checking into it, we could see that it was indeed a valley leak where the valley runs into a wall. The flashing had failed so we bid to remove the shingles and flashing and replace with new material. We first pulled out the old shingles and felt paper.
We then exposed the rotted decking so we informed the owner about the decking and ice and water shield underlayment. Lastly, we installed the new shingles and roof to wall flashing. The roof to wall flashing was an important part of the repair process because that was the initial cause of the leak.

The job turned out very well. We found out after pulling out the shingles that the wood decking had rotted out so all that needed to be replaced also. This area had been leaking for quite some time in order for all the plywood and some framing to require replacement. Our client had us install an extra length of downspout to run down the valley to lessen the amount of water that hits the spot. He had us do this so it never happens again.
