Fallen Branches Caused Damage
On Tuesday, February 18th, we did an ice storm roof repair in Peachtree City! Our client had a tree limb puncture his roof in the last storm. He needed the resulting hole in his roof fixed. We bid to remove the debris from the roof and fix the hole in the decking then replace the damaged shingles.
We first removed all the tree debris. We then removed the torn up shingles and tar paper. We could see that the limb hit right between two trusses and only damaged the decking so we cut out the ruined decking and nailed in a new section of one half inch plywood. We then installed ice and water shield underlayment and installed the new matching shingles last.
Results of this Ice Storm Roof Repair
This job turned out very well. It had rained on the roof before we could get to it so some moisture had gotten into the attic. He was happy to have it fixed before more rain came. Our client loved that we were able to come over so quickly and also that we did the job in a fast orderly fashion leaving no mess.
We met this client through another customer. We were working on his neighbor’s home when we found out that this client also needed work done. We went over and talked with him and told him we’d be back later in the day to fix it. So, we did.
