This job in Newnan is one that we, E.M. Blue Inc, have recently completed. Our client, Carol, has an old slate roof that had a couple of slate missing. She wanted these missing slate pieces replaced. We bid to replace the missing slate.
Results of this Slate Repair
In order to do this job, we pulled out what was left of the broken slate with a slate ripper. We then installed a copper hook into the now exposed keyway using a stainless steel nail. We then slid the new slate into place and bent the copper hook over to hold it in place. This job was three stories up on a slippery slate roof, however we managed to get up there on three sections of roof using a series of hook ladders and ropes.
